Mannings Heath Golf and Wine Estate is offering guests a Valentine’s Day Dinner with musical entertainment and each of the three courses paired with award-winning wines from Benguela Cove, the owner’s vineyard estate at Hermanus in South Africa.
The event includes live harp music with welcome drink, followed by dinner in the relaxed setting of the estate's dining room. Guests can also book an overnight or weekend stay in Fuller’s Cottage, which dates from the 17th century and is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty - or enjoy a classic afternoon tea or luxury dining and stay experience at the Michelin starred Restaurant Interlude in Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens, just three miles away.
The Valentine’s dinner will take place on Saturday 11th February from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at £59 per person.

Valentine’s gift boxes are also available for delivery, with wines from the Benguela Cove estate. The vineyard is located at the very edge of the Atlantic Ocean, near Cape Town, at the lowest level and with the longest seaboard of any vineyard in the world.

The south-easterly sea breeze is chilled by the Benguela Current flowing up from Antarctica, to cool the grapes at night after warm summer days, irrigated by above-average rainfall, for slow ripening and excellent viniculture. Mannings Heath Golf and Wine Estate has also announced its events programme for the year, which is open to everyone, including non-members of the golf club.
February sees the Valentine’s dinner on Saturday 11th, and then The Wedding Party, a new, immersive theatre dining experience on Saturday 4th February from 7:30pm to 11:30pm. The estate’s popular monthly supper club, featuring a wine of the month, returns on Thursday 23rd February from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
In March, guests can enjoy a spring wine and dine evening and ‘discover the taste of Sussex’, with a seasonal wine tasting and food pairing, on Thursday 2nd March from 6:30pm to 10:00pm. The annual Mother's Day afternoon tea, with a glass of sparkling wine and live entertainment is on Sunday 19th March, 12:00pm to 4:00pm.
On Easter Sunday, 9th April, there will be a three-course lunch and an Easter egg hunt for the children, from 12:00pm to 4:30pm. The dates for the popular winemaker's lunch in the spring are to be announced.
