The Art of Colour & Excitement 

We are delighted to welcome Dr Kezia Noel Paton as our Artist of the Month. 

A Sussex artist whose paintings are colourful and full of excitement, she paints many different subjects: landscapes, seascapes and closely observed natural objects. Often, she extends the image into more abstract forms of colour and texture in a variety of media. Kezia explores and stretches the boundaries to encourage unexpected and serendipitous effects.  

Kezia’s inspiration comes from many sources she says – her archive of photos, which is constantly updated, exhibitions, theatre and dance, videos on YouTube - and not least, her artist colleagues.  

Family and work in general practice left no time for formal art training, but she benefitted greatly from several Short Courses at West Dean College and three years of weekly drawing classes at The Mill Studio, Arundel.  

She has exhibited at The Ox Market, Chichester, The Mall Gallery, the Association of Sussex Artists, and with Horsham Artists at their summer Trails and autumn Fairs. A selection of her work can be seen on her website, and she is always happy to welcome those who wish to see more to her home near Horsham.
