The event is in recognition of International Women’s Week which takes place in March, celebrating the economic, social, cultural and political achievements of women.

The line-up of speakers includes Penny Streeter OBE, the successful entrepreneur in the UK and South Africa and owner of Mannings Heath Golf and Wine Estate and Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens in Sussex.

The Speakers

The speakers will share their compelling experiences and give examples of dealing with difficult and challenging situations - how they have dealt with these challenges and how they have developed the mindset and emotional resilience to successfully overcome them.

New Hub For Institute Of Directors

Once Coronavirus restrictions are lifted, IoD members will be able to use the club, near Horsham, as a drop-in hub for working, dining and socialising, with no additional membership charges. There are also special rates for the use of conference and other venue facilities.

Mannings Heath is set in the heart of the West Sussex countryside with two golf courses: the Waterfall international course and the 9-hole Kingfisher. The venue also hosts weddings, parties and special occasions as well as wine tastings and golf-buggy tours of the 57-acre vineyard, which saw its first harvest in 2020.

Mannings Heath Golf & Wine Estate is part of the Benguela Collection, which also includes Leonardslee House & Gardens in Lower Beeding, West Sussex, and Benguela Cove Wine Estate in South Africa.

The Benguela Collection is owned and operated by Zimbabwean-born entrepreneur Penny Streeter OBE.

Faisal Khan, chair of IoD South, said: “Mannings Heath is a luxurious and relaxing place for our members to get together for meetings, social events or a round of golf. As restrictions start to ease, our members will once again be able to take advantage of our business hubs across the region, where they will benefit from preferential rates.”

Barry Anderson, managing director of Mannings Heath Golf and Wine Estate, said: “The estate and our staff are looking forward to hosting IoD members. It’s been a challenging 12 months for the hospitality industry, but we can’t wait to welcome back our members and show our new IoD friends around our luxury facilities. Please do give us a call and we will be happy to organise your meeting, dining or golf requirements - or even arrange a spot of wine tasting.”
